Management Opportunities

I started working at Steak n Shake as a server when I was in high school. I attended Eastern Illinois University for 2 years. I was promoted to manager within 3 weeks. Now after 3 1/2 years, I am a General Manager and planning on returning to school.

I learned so much more working for Steak n Shake than I ever did in school. It was relevant. It was the real world. I can handle responsibility, and I have learned how to run a business. I am a better people person and feel more diverse.

The opportunity for growth is fantastic. The support I receive from upper management has helped me achieve what I want to. Age is not a factor here. At 22, I was promoted to General Manager and I do not know any other organization that would have allowed me to do that.
